Catawba Island Township Board of Township Trustees

Chairman Gary Mortus called the Public Hearing to order on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room of the administration building.
In attendance were Gary Mortus, Matt Montowski, William Rofkar, Karen Shaw,
Bob Snyder, Mike Prosser, Randy Riedmaier, and Jack DeVore.
Bob Snyder gave a brief explanation for the request which included updates to the Planned Unit Development for Catawba Bay Phases 1 and 2 and Proposed Phase 3. The property is located in section 3 lot 1 of Catawba Island Township.
Bob Snyder said Phase 3 is being proposed because the specified land area was not included on the original PUD description. He said the land area is now included in the new description. Bob Snyder said the density has not changed as the proposed use remains at 143 units on 34.4 acres for a total of 4.15 units per acre. He explained it is more of a modification due to an error as opposed to a change.
Gary Mortus said on December 19 the Zoning Commission heard the application and recommended by unanimous decision the application be approved as submitted. He said review by Regional Planning was not required.
Matt Montowski made a motion to close the public portion of the Public Hearing. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Matt Montowski made a motion to approve the PUD Section 3 of Catawba Bay Subdivision as submitted. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye.
William Rofkar made a motion to adjourn the Public Hearing. Matt Montowski seconded the motion. All voted aye. The meeting was adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
