Catawba Island Township Board of Township Trustees

Chairman Matt Montowski called the Public Hearing to order on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room of the administration building.
In attendance were Gary Mortus, Matt Montowski, William Rofkar, Karen Shaw,
Dan Barlow, John Gangway, John Hazzard, Kristin Hazzard, Pam Rahm, Bob Rahm,
Lorrain Croy, Adrienne Hines, Richard Hines, and Randy Riedmaier.
Matt Montowski explained the proposed text amendments to the Finding of Fact questionnaire in the Catawba Island Township Zoning Resolution. Specifically the words “Yes _____ No _____ Please explain your answer per the instructions” below each of the seven factors in the Area Variance Findings of Fact, currently located on page 129-131 of the Catawba Island Township Zoning Resolution. In addition, the second paragraph on page 131 should be revised to read “It is therefore the decision of the Catawba Island Township Board of Zoning Appeals that this area variance petition is ____________. If approved, it is subject to any conditions stated in the minutes which conditions are incorporated herein by reference and made a part of this decision.”
Matt Montowski said both the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Ottawa Regional Planning Commission recommend approval of the text amendments.
Gary Mortus made a motion to close discussion to the floor regarding the proposed text amendments. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Gary Mortus made a motion to approve the text amendments to the Zoning Resolution as recommended by the Zoning Commission. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
William Rofkar made a motion to adjourn the Public Hearing. Gary Mortus seconded the motion. All voted aye. The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
