Zoning public hearing was held on May 25, 2004 prior to the regular meeting of the Catawba Island Trustees with all present; also Pat Cerny, Dan Holan, Jonathon Heighel, James Stouffer, Kate Botti.
Chairman Robert Schroeder opened the Zoning hearing by reviewing Application 7700 to rezone property at 3147 Northeast Catawba Road R-4 District to C-2 District and C-2 District to R-4 District for development requested by Ohio Shore Development, Mansfield, OH. Ottawa Regional Planning Commission and Zoning Commission both recommended rezoning.
Zoning Inspector Pat Cerny stated they are thinking of making offices for small business in the Commercial portion.
Bill Rofkar asked if there was any reason why they wouldn’t go to C-1 where neighborhood businesses are permitted?
Gary Mortus made a motion to approve Application 7700 as requested by Ohio Shore Development with the exception to amend Parcel 2 R-4 to C-1. William Rofkar seconded the motion and the vote:

A motion was made by Gary Mortus and seconded by William Rofkar to close the Zoning hearing. All voted aye.
