Catawba Island Township Board of Township Trustees

Trustee Chairman William Rofkar called the Public Hearing to order Tuesday, October 25, 2016,
at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room of the administration building.
In attendance were: William Rofkar, Matt Montowski, Gary Mortus, Karen Shaw, Dan Barlow, John Gangway, John Kronberg, Len Partin, Glenda Ward, Diane Belden, Ernie Wylie, Richard Smetzer, and Randy Riedmaier.
William Rofkar explained the applicant, Hekron Investments Inc., application #008714, is requesting a zoning change from “A” Low Density Residential to the “R-E” Residential Estate District. The parcel is situated on the west side of N.E. Catawba Road, north of Wine Cellar Road and is adjacent to the previously rezoned property for the Mon Ami Winery. The subject property is approximately .50 acres and consists of a single family home.
William Rofkar said the Ottawa Regional Planning Commission met on September 20, 2016 and recommended approval of the rezoning request.
William Rofkar said the Zoning Commission met September 28, 2016 and recommended approval of the request.
The Trustees discussed the request.
Gary Mortus made a motion to approve zoning application #008714 as submitted and approved by the Zoning Commission. Matt Montowski seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Matt Montowski made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Gary Mortus seconded the motion. All voted aye. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
