Chairman Gary Mortus called the public hearing to order to hear a request for the expansion of the existing Catawba Island Club Golf Course Planned Unit Development requested by the Catawba-Cleveland Development Corp. at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room. Present were Gary Mortus, Robert Schroeder, William Rofkar, Pat Cerny, James Stouffer, Jack DeVore, Robert Nehls, Reggie Langford and Steve May.
James Stouffer gave an overview of the request stating they would like to add a 2.5 acre
parcel the former “Thierry property” to use for their golf course maintenance facility. This parcel was already rezoned to the RE district but was not included in the PUD approved in March of 2003. Some discussion followed. The facility would be consistent with agricultural style buildings.
Robert Schroeder made a motion to approve the addition to the PUD seconded by William Rofkar. All voted aye.
