ZONING COMMISSION MINUTES
MAY 22, 2024

Members of the Commission in attendance were Chairperson Jordan Davenport, Vice-Chairperson Paul Shaw, Dr. Gregory Hart, Kevin Howe and Alternates Bill Barnes and David Wonnell. Also in attendance were Matt Montowski, Trustee, and Todd Bickley, Zoning Inspector and Commission Secretary.

Chairperson Davenport called the meeting of the Catawba Island Township Zoning Commission to order at 7:00 p.m. For the record, he identified the date as May 22, 2024. Bill Barnes replaced Matt Gottron who was absent.
Chairperson Davenport reviewed the agenda.
Agenda Item 1 – Consider applications to the commission
Agenda Item 2 – Approve prior meeting minutes
Agenda Item 3 – Unfinished Business
Agenda Item 4 – New Business
Agenda Item 1 – Applications – Continuation of Case #158842
Paul Shaw made a motion to remove Case #158842 from the table. The motion was seconded by Dr. Gregory Hart. Motion passed.
Todd Bickley indicated that he contacted Dan Konschak and asked for a project update. Mr. Konschak advised Mr. Bickley that the owners had no immediate plans to move this project forward and that Mr. Konschak was unsure of the owner’s future plans for the site.
Mr. Bickley noted that the commission could retable the application or take action to recommend to the trustees approval, approval with conditions or disapproval.
Kevin Howe made a motion to recommend to the Trustees disapproval of the Case #158842 for not providing the requested information to the Zoning Commission. The motion was seconded by Dr. Gregory Hart. Motion passed with all Board members voting in the affirmative. Chairperson Davenport did not vote.
Agenda Item 2 – Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes
A correction was made to the minutes changing Vice-Chairperson Davenport to Vice-Chairperson Shaw. Paul Shaw made a motion to approve the April 24, 2024 meeting minutes as corrected. The motion was seconded by Kevin Howe. The motion passed.
Agenda Item 3 – Unfinished Business
Mr. Bickley noted that the trustees passed the text amendments as recommended by the Zoning Commission.
Agenda Item 4 New Business
No new business.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Zoning Commission is June 26, 2024.
