Minutes: July 11th, 2017

Catawba Island Township Board of Township Trustees

Public Hearing

July 11, 2017

Trustee Chairman Matt Montowski called the Public Hearing to order Tuesday, July 11, at
6:30 p.m. in the conference room of the administration building.

In attendance were Township Trustees: Gary Mortus, William Rofkar, and Matt Montowski Zoning Inspector Todd Bickley and Fiscal Officer Karen Shaw

Also in attendance were: Nancy Kline, Dan Kline, Lindi Finke, Todd Finke, Rich Gillum,
John Kronberg, Len Partin, John Coppeler, Allen Stryker, Glenda Ward, Connie Roberts,
Peg Kronberg, and Kevin Wylie

Matt Montowski said the meeting is a continuance of the public hearing related to application #008772 as submitted by Heiberg, Inc., John Kronberg, President, for Wineside Residences at Mon Ami, a Planned Unit Development (PUD).

Len Partin discussed the fence between the proposed project and the Finke property and pointed out placement of the additional fifteen foot of fence beyond the development garages.

The Trustees and Todd Finke agreed with the location of the additional fence.

The Trustees said the new drawings still show the development off West Catawba Road outside the required 380 feet encroaching into the C4 District.

After further discussion via speakerphone with Eric Kronberg, it was determined there had been a miscommunication between the owner and architect following the previous meeting with regard to the location where the development appeared outside the required 380 feet.

Architect Eric Kronberg agreed to reduce the development plan by removing a center shotgun unit and submit new drawings prior to the next meeting.

Len Partin addressed fire hydrant concerns raised at the last meeting. Fire Chief Kevin Wylie offered an explanation for his preferred hydrant locations.

The Trustees, developer, and fire chief were all in agreement on fire hydrant locations following a brief conversation.

Rich Gillum asked the Trustees to put a weekly rental restriction on the multi-family homes within the development.

The Trustees agreed they will continue to follow the zoning resolution book.

Gary Mortus made a motion to close the hearing discussion to the floor. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
