Catawba Island Township Board of Township Trustees

Public Hearing

July 18, 2017

Trustee Chairman Matt Montowski called the Public Hearing to order Tuesday, July 18, at
6:30 p.m. in the conference room of the administration building.

In attendance were Township Trustees: Gary Mortus, William Rofkar, and Matt Montowski Zoning Inspector Todd Bickley

Also in attendance were: Lindi Finke, Todd Finke, Rich Gillum, Len Partin, John Kronberg,
Peg Kronberg, Kevin Wylie and Julie Wylie

Matt Montowski said the meeting is a continuance of the public hearing related to application #008772 as submitted by Heiberg, Inc., John Kronberg, President, for Wineside Residences at Mon Ami, a Planned Unit Development (PUD).

William Rofkar made a motion to reconvene to public input. Gary Mortus seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Len Partin explained the new drawing and said with removal of the two single dwellings the setback requirement is met and exceeded and the development no longer encroaches the C4 District. Len Partin said the area between the development and restaurant property will have green space and trees as a buffer to separate the two areas.

The new fire hydrant locations were also shown and discussed briefly.

Matt Montowski read from the zoning resolution book under the definition of dwelling which stated “overnight rentals and occupancy of dwellings shall be prohibited”.

The Trustees said there will not be any overnight rentals in the development.

William Rofkar made a motion to approve application #008772 for Wineside Residences at
Mon Ami, a Planned Unit Development, as modified. Gary Mortus seconded the motion.
All voted aye. Motion carried.

Gary Mortus made a motion to adjourn the meeting. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye. The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
