Special Meeting

March 24, 2014

Chairman Matt Montowski called the Special Meeting to order on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. in the conference room of the administration building.

In attendance were Gary Mortus, Matt Montowski, William Rofkar, and Karen Shaw

Karen Shaw presented a Salary Continuation Premium Impact Analysis provided by the Frank Gates Company as it relates to an injured township employee. Salary/Wage Continuation is a privilege granted by the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation that allows employers to pay an injured worker their normal wages while they are unable to work due to a work-related injury.

A brief discussion took place following review of the Premium Impact Analysis.

William Rofkar made a motion to continue regular full wages for said employee and any benefits he would have otherwise been entitled to for a period of time from March 10, 2014 to April 23, 2014 (a period of time not to exceed 45 days per C-55 submission). He will be paid regular wages from the General Fund. Gary Mortus seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Gary Mortus made a motion to adjourn the Special Meeting. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 a.m.
