Catawba Island Township Park Board
Meeting Minutes for March 19, 2025

Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 6:02P.M.

People Present:
Brad Schwan, David Howell, Brian Washburn, Jack Madison, Vicki Wheatley

Reading/Approval of Minutes:
The minutes were read and approved.

Items Discussed:
Old Business:
Getting the kiosk draft to Jerry Davenport has been a challenge. Brad will continue trying to reach him.

Ottawa County Park District grant funding was discussed. Catawba Island Township was offered $20,000.00 and ideas were discussed on what it could potentially be used for as the amount did not cover the amount requested for the exercise trail.

Jack Madison stated that he will attend the next Township Trustee meeting to get suggestions and to obtain more information from Jannah Wilson on what the funding can cover.

Speaker Series – two speakers have been identified. One will be held in June and one in August (Dates to be determined).

Decisions Made:
The May 2025 Parks Board Meeting will meet in the administration building and then to Cedar Meadow to do a walkthrough. Signage and the potential to move a portion of the trail will be looked into. This will be weather permitting.

Vicki Wheatley made the motion to adjourn, it was seconded by Brian Washburn. Meeting adjourned at 6:47 P.M.
