Reading/Approval of Minutes:
The minutes from October 15, 2025 were read and approved.
Items Discussed:
OLD BUSINESS:
Brad Schwan contacted Tom Evans to get an opinion on the expansion cracks at the Pickleball Courts at Heigel Park. Tom recommended to leave the courts as is, the expansion cracks prevent cracks from forming in other places on the courts. The cracks do not affect the game.
Dave Howell and Jack Madison will contact Kevin Johnson to identify where the trail extension should be placed.
Matt Montowski shared that the cost of the two tempered glass boards for the kiosk has been approved by the trustees. Vicki Wheatley will communicate with Shelly Garcia as to how to get them purchased.
Matt Montowski shared that the projector screen for the community hall has been approved by the trustees, not to exceed $1700.00. Quintin Smith suggested that we might want to get a screen and a projector and have them both installed. Quintin will have someone he knows come in to the community hall and make a recommendation and provide an estimate for the trustees.
Jack Madison shared an estimate from Kreimes Co on the asphalt overlay and sportsmaster system (acrylic resurfacer, color, and striping) for the two tennis courts at Heigel Park. After reviewing the process and the cost ($74,500.00) Brian Washburn made a motion to recommend to the trustees to accept the proposal for project completion and apply for the Ottawa County Park District grant. Vicki Wheatley seconded, motion unanimously approved. It was determined that we will revisit the basketball court resurfacing next year.
Decisions Made:
Recommend to Trustees – Vicki Wheatley will send an email to the trustees regarding the recommendation for tennis court proposal approval and to apply for the Ottawa County Park District Grant.
