RC Restricted Commercial District

At 7:15 p.m. on December 26, 2006, chairman Gary Mortus called the public hearing to order to hear a request for a text amendment to the Catawba Island Township Zoning Resolution initiated by the Catawba Island Township Zoning Commission. Present were Gary Mortus, Robert Schroeder, William Rofkar, Pat Cerny, Jack Devore, Reggie Langford and Dr. Smothers. On November 29, 2006 the Catawba Island Township Zoning Commission heard this request for the RC Restricted Commercial District and recommended it unanimously. On November 22, 2006, the Regional Planning Commission heard the request and also recommended it unanimously. There was no public comment.

The Trustees stated there are enough safeguards in regard to this amendment and think it is a good idea. William Rofkar made a motion to approve this request seconded by Robert Schroeder. William Rofkar, aye, Robert Schroeder, aye, Gary Mortus, aye. Amendment will go into effect thirty days from this hearing.
