Members of the Commission in attendance were Chairperson Jordan Davenport, Paul Shaw, and Alternates Bill Barnes and David Wonnell. Also in attendance were Matt Montowski, Trustee, and Todd Bickley, Zoning Inspector and Commission Secretary.

Chairperson Davenport called the meeting of the Catawba Island Township Zoning Commission to order at 7:00 p.m. For the record, he identified the date as October 23, 2024.
Chairperson Davenport reviewed the agenda.

Agenda Item 2 – Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes
Paul Shaw moved to approve the September 25, 2024 Meeting Minutes. The motion was seconded by David Wonnell and the motion passed.
Agenda Item 3 – Unfinished Business
Mr. Bickley provided a handout for the Commission members concerning employee housing, as regulated by Put-in-Bay Township. Mr. Bickley reviewed the definition and noted the use would be a conditional use. The specific conditions were reviewed. Mr. Shaw commented that “if problems are created” seems to be vague. Mr. Bickley noted that the use would be placed as a conditional use in the appropriate zoning districts. Mr. Bickley indicated that a meeting has been scheduled with the Assistant County Prosecutor for review.
Mr. Bickley also commented that he will review the current short-term rental requirements with the Prosecutor’s office.

Chairperson Davenport noted that the November and December meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month.
Chairperson Davenport adjourned the meeting at 7:24 p.m.
