Catawba Island Township Parks Board
Meeting Minutes for July 15, 2026

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

People Present:
Brad Schwan, David Howell, Jack Madison

Reading/Approval of Minutes:
Approved June 17th meeting minutes.

Old Business:
A flowering dogwood was planted by the old farm equipment in honor of America’s 250th.
Mr. Howell described equipment as 2 bottom plow, rake, (horse drawn/converted to tractor pulled), he will continue to research.
Tennis courts have been laid, (30 days to set up). Trustees have decided with green.
The white board behind the Kiosk has been installed, and appears to be well received.
The Black Swamp has conducted a walk through.
The basketball courts will wait for a grant approval

New Business:
The board agreed to suggest a picnic table at Catawba Point Preserve.
